Rii has provided professional engineering services for aviation projects since the 1980s, gaining extensive expertise in their design and construction under the guidelines of public capital improvement programs. Rii has a niche in the aviation sector with more than 50 airport clients ranging from municipal and private airports to larger international airports. Rii has worked extensively with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) documents pertaining to pavement management, evaluation and design, obstruction surveys, and construction quality control and quality assurance procedures and documentation. Similarly, over the past 40 years, Rii has updated and developed FAA standards on airport pavement materials, design procedure and recycling methods.

Laboratory Certifications
Rii operates and maintains materials testing laboratories at our Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio, offices and mobile laboratory locations. All three of our office laboratories are inspected and granted certification by the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP).
