State
Route 129 and Interstate 75 Interchange Study
Hamilton, Ohio Design Services
The SR 129 and I-75
Interchange Study is a Major Investment Study to determine the feasibility
of making the SR 129 Interchange a full interchange with I-75. This would
be done in conjunction with the extension of the local roadway network.
Currently the interchange is only a partial interchange with access to
and from the West Side of I-75.
This Five Step Study
is being performed to help solve and plan for some of the local traffic
problems and concerns of Eastern Butler County. The study area is in one
of the fastest growing areas in Ohio. Access to and from I 75 from the
East Side of I-75 is limited to the existing interchanges of Tylersville
Road and SR 63. Both of these interchanges have severe existing capacity
problems. The purpose of the study is to determine the effects the full
interchange would have on I-75, as well as the local road network, and
to see if it would enhance adjacent land to potential development.
The study is being
funded by Liberty Township of Butler County and the Butler County Transportation
Improvement District is administering the contracts. Resource International
Inc. was hired by the Butler County Transportation Improvement District
as the Program Manager for the project. Resource is currently leading
a team of consultants working on the Five Step Study.
