Bridge Deck Evaluations

Resource evaluated conditions for 94 bridge decks using GPR for ODOT District 6. Bridge deck evaluations were scheduled and completed based on the fiscal year funding which has been assigned to each group of bridges. GPR findings are used to:

• Investigate possible bridge deck deterioration
• Identify and quantify areas of deterioration
• Detect the condition of each layer of rebar

The Bridge Deck evaluation reports, which include estimated quantities for full depth and partial deck repair, were then used to prioritize funding for the most critical structures.
