Planning Services Geotechnical Services Our field geologists and drillers utilize ATV and mobile drilling equipment to perform field sampling of soil, rock and groundwater, install monitoring wells and conduct groundwater testing for collection of field data for engineering analysis and laboratory testing. Engineers and certified laboratory technicians conduct soil classification testing in AASHTO accredited laboratories, including specialty testing such as CBR's, consolidation, permeability and unconfined compression tests. Our geotechnical
engineers provide design recommendations and soils reports for soil stabilization,
bearing capacities, foundation alternatives, ground stabilization, groundwater
and construction considerations for design and construction of facilities. Survey & Mapping Land surveys are conducted utilizing the latest technology and equipment using data collectors, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Subsurface Utility Equipment (SUE) as well as standard surveying techniques. CADD generated maps are created for ALTA, boundary and topographic surveys and right of way mapping utilizing both MicroStation and AutoCAD systems by experienced and knowledgeable survey staff. Professional surveyors prepare legal documents and descriptions for easements, right of way, property deeds, property maps and subdivision plats. Experienced survey
crews perform site control and construction layout work for establishing
vertical and horizontal alignments and control prior to and during construction
of buildings, utilities and infrastructure.
