Rii’s Design Division serves the needs of providing quality engineering for our private, municipal, county, state and federal clients. Our professional engineers have vast experience working with these entities and have completed a variety of projects involving both new design and rehabilitation of roadways, bridges, bikeway facilities, parking lots, utility infrastructure and site development. Our design staff is experienced in all project phases from planning, design, bidding, and construction through project closeout. Our in-house resources and capabilities provides for cost-effective solutions for all aspects of design, from performing due diligent, red flag and feasibility studies, right-of-way development, detailed design, maintenance of traffic, storm water pollution prevention plans, water quality measures and more.

Rii prides itself in keeping up-to-date with industry certifications such as NASSCO, PACP and MACP; CPESC; LEED AP; and trenchless technology techniques which helps to determine the best sustainable engineering solutions. Our engineers are current on the design requirements for ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, transit facilities and recreational trails. Our staff also maintains professional engineering licensing in multiple states and maintains specialty training with AASHTO and DOT for LRFD, bridge inspection and others. In addition, we are experienced in applying BMPs such as bioretention basins, dry extended swales, and rainwater harvesting cisterns, permeable pavers and recycled materials on our projects.
