Rii, in partnership with Turner Construction as a sub-consultant, is serving as Construction Manager for the Wadsworth City Schools Facilities Improvement Program. The total District Master Plan consists of a new 450,000 SF high school with an integral community center and three new 53,000 SF elementary schools. The total program cost is $130 million.

The high school and community center is a mixture of K-12 facilities and partnership with the local community. In addition to the Master Plan K-12 square footage, the high school design includes a new locally funded Initiative auditorium and community center. The community center includes a competition pool and recreation pool, as well as associated aquatic facilities. The high school and community center also includes, as a part of the partnership with the City of Wadsworth and other community partners, a senior health center, library addition and YMCA facility.

The new high school facility and community center is currently under construction adjacent to the existing Wadsworth High School. With new construction occurring within 75 feet of the existing high school, the Rii/Turner Project Team is minimizing or eliminating disruption to the operations of the existing Wadsworth High School while constructing the new facility. When completed, this project will include one of the largest high schools in the state of Ohio and possibly the largest constructed as a part of the OSFC program.
